Animate Osaka Nippombashi

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I found at Animate Osaka Nipponbashi. The character goods I was looking for were in really good second-hand condition, and the price felt very fair. Getting a tax refund was an added bonus, and it made the whole visit feel like a great find.

This multi story building is a paradise for anime, manga, and video game fans. Each floor offers something different, including movies, comics, trading cards, figurines, plush toys, and all kinds of collectibles. As someone who isn't really into anime, I honestly found many of the items quite expensive. However, my kids absolutely loved exploring the store and were excited by the huge selection of merchandise. Tax-free shopping is available for purchases of 5,500 yen or more, which is a nice bonus for tourists. If you're an anime enthusiast, you could easily spend hours browsing here! 😊

Awesome store for those interested in manga and anime! Huge variety of items, all for retail price. When I was there they had a pop-up event, and it still wasn't crowded. Love this store! 🥹

Absolutely packed with popular and obscure treasures for literally everyone. I was blown away by just how much material a tiered shop had and was able to find almost unheard of cards, anime and collectibles.

Got an album I was waiting for here, as well as other goods! I visited Ikebukuro’s Animate too, but only Osaka’s had claw machines with plushies I was looking for everywhere. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and coins before payout… Good store with good stock, but if you’re into popular groups from popular media, they may be out of some types of merch!
